I have been making jewellery for over twelve years; as a young teenager I worked in my father’s workshop as a hobby. I enjoyed making jewellery so much that when I finished school I went to Art College to refine my design and jewellery making techniques
After a year’s foundation course at Northbrook College, Worthing, two years at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design and a year at Edinburgh College of Art, I came back to Sussex and then started working at the Stable Studio at Hammes Farm.
Whilst at college I developed techniques that I had learnt working along side my father, learnt new ones and gained confidence in my work and myself. This enabled me to develop my work from the student pieces made at college as practice pieces to more stylish sophisticated saleable pieces.
I use sterling silver with 18ct yellow gold and semi-precious stones such as garnets, amethysts, tourmalines, moonstones and labradorites.
